Express Entry

Entry is an online immigration system used by the Canadian government to manage applications for permanent residence from skilled workers. It is designed to be fast and efficient, processing applications in as little as six months.

In approximately six months, the framework enables individuals and their families to relocate to Canada and become residents. It operates by using a points-based application management system to pit potential candidates against one another. Invitations to Apply (ITAs) are sent to applicants with higher positioning for permanent residence in Canada.

There are 3 immigration programs managed through Express Entry:

  • Canadian Experience Class- Canadian Experience Class is for skilled workers who have Canadian work experience and want to become permanent residents.
  • Federal Skilled Worker Program- Federal Skilled Worker Program is for skilled workers who have foreign work experience and want to become permanent residents.
  • Federal Skilled Trades Program-Skilled trades need specialized knowledge and hands-on work. You’ll need an apprenticeship for most trades.

Skilled tradespeople may work in sectors such as:

  • construction
  • transportation
  • manufacturing and industrial
